We invented and patented the Automatic Lamp Changer for the Kodak Ektagraphic slide projectors in 1971. We suspended manufacturing in the ‘90’s.
Designing comes naturally to GAVI; we started out manufacturing our own designs over 40 years ago. So, it’s no wonder that we’re called upon to provide solutions to the industry’s most intricate optical problems. Disappearing mirrors, sliding mounts, careful stress analysis are all deftly handled by our professional engineering staff. And we have the machine shop and assembly fixtures to accommodate these skills.

For example, when Electrosonics Systems, Inc. was selected to integrate the huge Rain forest Exhibit at The American Museum of Natural History, Barco recommended that they contact GAVI to work out the complex projector- mounting design and installation of the (4) BarcoGraphics 9200LC projectors. The resultant scheme, outlined below, rotates the projectors and images vertically to suit the tight space requirements of the exhibit to produce four images, each 132” high.
